Choice Foundation
In the year 2012, a few of us, medical and non-medical professionals joined hands to make a difference in the lives of children. We wanted to leave behind a healthy, supportive and cautious generation that took their health and well-being seriously.
With this objective in mind, we started CHOICE Foundation, a Not-for-Profit organization that strives to develop an ecosystem of doctors, donors, various NGOs supporting orphanages, facilitators and other charitable institutions to provide intensive care and emergency treatment to sick children coming from socio-economically challenged families.
CHOICE stands for “Children’s Intensive Care and Emergency Foundation”
Hence, we work tirelessly to identify and support children needing critical and emergency care. Through our service, we want to empower every child, irrespective of their socio-economic status Along with our mission to provide quality healthcare to underprivileged children, we have also developed a program to promote preventive healthcare amongst children and spread awareness on good health practices.
We are motivated by our objective “Every Child Counts”
Our mission to empower every child with good health led us to initiate “My Child Health”, a comprehensive preventive school health screening for all children. Every child at various private, government, social welfare & tribal schools irrespective of their socio-economic status should have a right to be healthy through this initiative.

FOUNDERS
DR. SATISH GHANTA
Always aspiring to be a doctor, his love for children and the challenge of delivering care with tenderness, led Dr. Satish to step into the field in Paediatrics and propelled him to complete fellowships in Neonatal Care and Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care from Australia. Upon his return to his home country- India, his cry for better care started due to his international training and insightful understanding of local requirements in the field of Neonatalogy and Paediatrics. Always willing to learn and provide the best care possible for the children, he started Little Stars Children’s Hospital in Hyderabad- a Super Specialty Hospital with specialists in Pediatric Nephrology, Pediatric Oncology, Critical Care, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Neurology and Neuro-Rehabilitation, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Pulmonology.
Though he was one of the very few paediatricians with extensive training and a hospital full of super specialists, he became a crusader for affordable healthcare.
The Intensive Care managements are prohibitively expensive and many under privileged families with sick children needing emergency medical & critical care treatment. It became extremely overwhelming for Dr. Satish to closely witness them in a never ending debt trap with devastating effects often forcing themselves to withdraw critical care support.
This lead to him to start CHOICE FOUNDATION in the year 2009 with a few like-minded individuals from different professions who took a stand to help underprivileged babies and children who needed intensive and emergency medical care. Their passion for this cause is reflected in the name of this Foundation-CHOICE, which stands for Children Intensive Care and Emergency.
MR. BHASKAR REDDY
His post-graduation in Business Management spear headed Mr. Bhaskar into Sectors such as Consumer Products, Travel and Tourism, Food, Power, Infrastructure Investment Banking and Advisory. Though he has 36 years of business exposure, he always had a desire to be a social entrepreneur.
Mr. Bhaskar being already part of the Board in few Charity Organisations and Not-for-Profit entities undertaking various services, Dr. Satish’s compassion for Children greatly inspired him join his efforts to start a Foundation had set to extend Tertiary Medical Care to the underprivileged Children.
